Matthew P. Smelley, MD, completed his undergraduate education at Georgia Institute of Technology, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. His Internal Medicine residency and fellowships in Cardiology and Electrophysiology were completed at the University of Chicago.
He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Diseases as well as in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing.

Dr. Smelley specializes in Cardiology and Electrophysiology. He performs the full spectrum of complex ablations and device implantations.

Dr. Smelley is excited to be practicing medicine in Southern Oregon. He and his wife Claire, and their three daughters enjoy hiking, traveling, and cooking together.
