Dr. Soban Ahmad is a general and invasive cardiologist dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered, and evidence-based cardiovascular care. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, cardiac arrhythmias, hypertension, and other complex cardiovascular conditions. Dr. Ahmad graduated cum laude from medical school, completed his Internal Medicine residency at East Carolina University Medical Center, and his Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Adult Comprehensive Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology, and plans to complete his boards in Cardiovascular Diseases and Cardiac Computed Tomography (Cardiac CT). During fellowship, he was recognized for his clinical excellence and professionalism, receiving the Rookie of the Year Award during his first year and the Most Valuable Fellow Award upon graduation.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Ahmad is actively involved in cardiovascular research. He has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications in various nationally recognized journals and has presented his work at numerous cardiovascular disease conferences. His clinical and academic interests include invasive hemodynamics, valvular heart disease, multimodality cardiac imaging, and the primary prevention of cardiovascular disease. He is committed to integrating the latest evidence-based advances into clinical practice while partnering with patients to develop individualized treatment plans that improve long-term cardiovascular health and quality of life.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Ahmad enjoys spending time with his family, traveling to new places, and fixing things around the house.
