{"id":1686,"date":"2020-12-16T20:26:06","date_gmt":"2020-12-16T20:26:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.socardiology.com\/?page_id=1686"},"modified":"2020-12-16T20:26:06","modified_gmt":"2020-12-16T20:26:06","slug":"general-cardiology-position","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.socardiology.com\/es\/general-cardiology-position\/","title":{"rendered":"General Cardiology Position"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"fusion-fullwidth fullwidth-box fusion-builder-row-1 nonhundred-percent-fullwidth non-hundred-percent-height-scrolling\" style=\"--awb-border-radius-top-left:0px;--awb-border-radius-top-right:0px;--awb-border-radius-bottom-right:0px;--awb-border-radius-bottom-left:0px;--awb-flex-wrap:wrap;\" ><div class=\"fusion-builder-row fusion-row\"><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-0 fusion_builder_column_1_1 1_1 fusion-one-full fusion-column-first fusion-column-last\" style=\"--awb-bg-size:cover;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper fusion-column-has-shadow fusion-flex-column-wrapper-legacy\"><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-1\"><h3><strong><u>POSITION: <\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3>The cardiologists of Southern Oregon Cardiology (SOC) seek a <strong>well-trained, board eligible\/board certified general cardiologist <\/strong>with expertise in <strong>consultative cardiology and echocardiography<\/strong>.\u00a0 Cardiac catheterization skills and nuclear, CT, and\/or MRI imaging would be useful but are not mandatory.<\/h3>\n<h3><strong><u>SOUTHERN OREGON CARDIOLOGY:<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>SOC is a well-respected cardiology practice that has been recognized for excellence in patient care for more than 40 years.<\/strong>\u00a0 SOC has 10 general invasive cardiologists, 5 interventional cardiologists, 3 electrophysiologists and 5 Nurse Practitioners who work closely with 3 cardiothoracic surgeons at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center.\u00a0 We are <strong>the sole cardiology providers for the Asante Health System<\/strong> and are based at the Cardiovascular Institute at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center.\u00a0 We serve <strong>600,000 patients<\/strong> from counties in southern Oregon and northern California (an area larger than the state of Massachusetts).\u00a0 <strong>Ten outlying hospitals<\/strong> transfer patients to us.<\/h3>\n<h3><strong><u>SOME CARDIOLOGY PROGRAM FACTS: <\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3>Cardiology conference every Wednesday morning for case review and presentations.<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3><strong>Certified echo, nuclear cardiology, and cardiac CT programs.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Busy interventional cardiology program including 165 STEMI patients and 581 coronary interventions in 2018, 310 TAVR patients since February 2015, ASD\/PFO closure program, and initiation of a MitraClip and Percutaneous Mitral Valve-in-Valve program begun in April 2019<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Full-service electrophysiology program including Watchman and VT ablation.<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Cardiothoracic surgery program performed 575 open-heart surgeries last year.<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Collaborative, team-based approach to patient care.<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>One-year partnership track position.<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><u>AWARDS:<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3>The Asante Health System has won many awards and includes Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford, Asante Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass, and Asante Ashland Community Hospital in Ashland.\u00a0\u00a0 IBM Watson Health has recognized Asante as a <strong>\u201cTop 15 Health System\u201d for 8 years in a row<\/strong>.\u00a0 This past month, we were named an <strong>IBM Watson Health \u201c50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals\u201d <\/strong>out of 989 hospitals.\u00a0 All three Asante Hospitals have earned <strong>Medicare\/Medicaid 5 stars<\/strong> (only 5 of 62 Oregon hospitals have earned a five star designation).\u00a0\u00a0 US News and World Report named us the <strong>third ranked hospital in Oregon and the top hospital outside of Portland<\/strong>. \u00a0CareChex has voted Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center as the <strong>number one hospital in Oregon for Heart Attack Treatment, Safety and Medical Excellence<\/strong>.\u00a0 The hospital earned the designation of <strong>&#8220;STEMI Receiving Gold Plus&#8221;<\/strong> from the American Heart Association&#8217;s Mission Lifeline. The Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) has recognized SOC as one of the top performing medical practices in the nation for the past seven years.<\/h3>\n<h3><strong><u>A PLACE TO LIVE:<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3>Medford is located in southern Oregon\u2019s Rogue Valley between Oregon&#8217;s Willamette Valley and California&#8217;s Central Valley.\u00a0 The mild winters and warm dry summers create an ideal climate for the Harry and David<strong> pear orchards and a burgeoning wine economy<\/strong>, featuring over 60 wineries. Popular features of the region include the <strong>internationally acclaimed<\/strong> <strong>Oregon Shakespeare Festival, the Britt Music Festival, Crater Lake National Park, the Redwoods and Mount Shasta<\/strong>. The proximity to the mountains and rivers means accessible and ample hiking, cross country skiing, show shoeing, downhill skiing, white water rafting and kayaking and fly fishing for salmon and steelhead trout.
